Zacharia

Zacharia is a fun loving boy who is way beyond his age level for learning. He likes to play tag,play board games, read books, and play games on the Wii and computer. He dislikes cleaning, listing, beans, and hot dogs. His favorite color is red, book is magic tree house and diary of a wimpy kid and nate the great, food is pizza, drink is water and juice and milk.

Zacharia is doing very well in school. he likes lunch and recess the best and dislikes 2nd step ( which talks about feelings) he plays ok with others. He thinks he owns the house and likes to boss other people around. He thinks he is in charge :)

Zacharia is having some anger issues still and we are working on this.
Brandon is connecting with Zacharia on a whole new level now. Zacharia is showing some of his true colors lately.

Zacharia is a great helper when he wants to be :) like all kids he is great and we love him.

Zarona Update :)

Today we went up to OSHU for yet another hearing test, this time they did a different test and got the same results as last time. They laid Zarona down and looked in her ears with a micro scope to see what was going on. Zarona did very well with the sitting still part and letting them look and put things in her ears.

The results:
Her left ear has some problem but she is still able to hear out of this ear. They said that she has an abnormal middle ear function.

Her Right ear is the bad one, she has hearing loss in this ear and can hear really loud noises. very little ear drum activity. she has a little fluid in this ear.

What they are hoping is that we put tubes in her ears and that will fix the problem, she has no history of infections and there is only a little fluid and it's only in 1 ear, which suggests that it's probably something else. But they try to do the simple fix first. We are now waiting to hear from OHSU about her surgery date.

Little update :)

Good Day:

We are all doing really well,
Zacharia is having a hard time with not saying to much when he is mad, he always says that he does everything and picks up after everyone, well last night Danielle finally had enough so now Zacharia has to do "everything" he will be doing this for a week and then we will see if he still feels the same way.
Jacob is also having a hard time with chores but still does them through his winning, which is funny and loud at some times.
Joshua is learning that he can not get away with everything and is pushing the limit of how far he can go before he gets hurt or in trouble.
Zarona is doing fine, she is Hard of hearing but we are working on that we will know more in Jan when she goes back to OHSU for yet another hearing test and eval. right now we are using more hand motions and signing some stuff to her. we will keep you updated.
Brandon is doing well, he is enjoying his family and loving life.
Danielle enjoyed her birthday and thanks everyone for the birthday wishes.
Brandon and Danielle's 9 year anniversary is coming up this week and we will be celebrating it at home :) like always :) Maybe with popcorn, ice cream and sprinkling cider :)
Later this month we will start a post about each person we will start with Zacharia so watch for that.

Vacuum

Our vacuum broke, so we were looking for a new one, keeping in mind that we now have to vacuum under bunk beds and another bed and there's not much room to move. We decided to get a canister vacuum for the boys room and an upright for the rest of the house. well the canister came in the mail today and Jacob thought we bought it for him, so he quickly picked up the floor in his room so he could use his vacuum. Joshua came home from school and also wanted to vacuum but Jacob told him that he could not use it because we bought it for him. Zacharia came home from school and Jacob told him all about his vacuum so they picked up the living room and I let Jacob vacuum again, Zacharia trough a fit because he wanted to vacuum and that it was not fair because Jacob already had a turn. We let Zacharia vacuum the hall way and Joshua also got a turn.

Who knew that a vacuum would cause so much trouble, I almost felt like I had to go buy 2 more vacuums so that all 3 boys had there own and would stop fighting over it.

Zacharia is 8

Zacharia is now 8 years old, he had a wonderful party sorry no pics this time. He had a blast, Thank You for all that came, or wished him a happy birthday. Thank You for all the gifts.

Zacharia was baptized in Oct 2012 thank you everyone who came over and visited he loved seeing you all. Thank you for spending time on his special night.


Halloween was fun we went to our church trunk or treat the Saturday before Halloween and then we stayed home and carved pumpkins and handed out some candy to kids :)

Zarona had a hearing test this month and failed it, we are a waiting another hearing test at OHSU hospital to see if tubes will fix the problem, she can hear some so we are thinking that tubes might do the job, we will keep you posted.

Joshua is doing great with his speech class and is talking a bit more, we are trying to work on saying more then 3 words at a time.

Jacob is doing very well, he loves school, his fav thing is MAth :)

Brandon and Danielle are doing well.

Update Oct 2012

So a little update on the family,

Zacharia was dropped from soccer to address some issues at home, he love school and still thinks that the class work is too easy, and that its not fair that he has to do it. :) he is also turning 8 this year and is really looking forward to his party, which will be a Halloween themed potluck. should be fun, he also can not wait to get baptized :)

Jacob loves soccer and is really good at kicking it :) He  loves school and his teacher, he says there is a lot of reading at school and he loves that, he also loves the free wrighting time in class. teachers brag about him at school saying what a joy he is to be around and how thoughtful and palite that he is. :)

Joshua is doing great, he loves school, his favorite part is riding the buss, he is now fully potty trianed in the day time, so far no accidents at school :)

Zarona is doing well, only got sick 1 time with everybody else and got over it just as quickly, which is a great inpovrment for her, she loves to look at books and likes her hair brushed but wont sit still when we put in the pony tails.

Danielle is doing well, she is involed with the Head Start again this year and is also the site coordinator for a reading program at the grade school. And she is trying to raise funds for the Kids Summer Program, she is also helping me coach soccer which I love her for. All in all she is doing really well and keeping herself busy during school days and hours.

Brandon is doing great, he is coaching Jacobs soccer team and all the kids love him :) I just had a sleep study done and found that I have a Moderate sleep apnea and will at some point get a CPAP machine to help me breath at night. Work is ok. I am excited to be able to baptize my first son this month.

as a whole the family is doing great and keeping busy. Well that is all for now T.T.F.N

Soccer 2012

So Zacharia and Jacob are in Soccer this year, apon getting a phone call about Jacobs practice time and so forth they asked if Brandon can coach Jacobs team. Brandon said YES!! I am so happy that daddy gets to do this. Jacob is ok with it as well.

Our Family will be Busy Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from now until the end of October :)
